Biography

Marty O’Neill is a multifaceted Creative Digital Media Specialist, Entrepreneur, and Educator, widely recognized for blending artistic innovation with strategic brand-building. Originally hailing from Buffalo, New York, Marty has called Orange County, California home for the past 13 years. Alongside his wife of 18 years and their three children, he has forged a dynamic career that spans videography, photography, design, marketing, and education—always with a focus on motivating others to hone their craft and embrace continual learning.

Early Beginnings & Education

Marty’s passion for creativity and competition emerged early. As an NCAA Division II basketball player at Daemen College in Buffalo, he learned the value of discipline and teamwork—skills he would later apply to his entrepreneurial endeavors. In 2009, Marty launched Drastic Graphics as a freelance operation specializing in mixtape covers, party flyers, and logos. This groundwork set the stage for a major turning point in 2013, when he relocated to Orange County under a record deal with DJ SKEE.

In 2014, Marty graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. During this time, he began laying the foundation for Drastic Graphics to evolve into a full-fledged creative studio, serving an impressive roster of high-profile clients, celebrity-led podcasts, and major international brands.

Entrepreneurship & Creative Growth

Throughout this period, Marty’s expertise expanded to include:

  • Brand & Web Design

  • Video Editing & Production

  • Targeted Advertising & Social Media Management

Marty's knack for run-and-gun-style videography has been showcased in multiple Super Bowl commercials and network television campaigns with Netflix, T-Mobile, Google, Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, and Anheuser-Busch, among others. His knack for blending art and strategy has helped bring to life the visions of high-profile athletes and entertainers—ranging from Theo Von and Joe Rogan to John Travolta and Bradley Cooper.

Marty’s signature video editing style is a seamless fusion of his graphic design creativity, the rhythmic precision of his music production experience, and a keen eye for cinematic storytelling. The result? Jaw-dropping montages and perfectly paced videos that captivate and engage.

“Full-Time Podcaster” & Thought Leadership

In 2019, Marty authored and published the audiobook/e-book Full-Time Podcaster: The Undisputed Guide to Starting a Successful Podcast, which quickly became an Amazon Best Seller in the Computers & Technology Education category. This milestone highlighted Marty’s commitment to demystifying the media landscape and empowering others to turn their creative passions into profitable ventures.

His impact as an educator and thought leader reached new heights in 2023, when he delivered a TED Talk under the theme “The Money Never Stops.” Reflecting on his journey, Marty shared insights into the evolving digital economy and the limitless opportunities for creators who blend talent, authenticity, and a relentless work ethic.
